Abstract:

Recent scientific reports suggests that a variety of biological systems harness some of the quantum mechanical machinery. The molecular vibration-activity relationship in the receptor-ligand interaction of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) was investigated by structure similarity, molecular vibration, and hierarchical clustering in a dataset of various ligands of class A GPCRs as an attempt to find an additive bit of quantum aspect to the molecular interaction mechanism. The resulting dendrogram produced by corralled intensity of molecular vibrational frequency (CIMVF) was compared with those of another kind of fingerprint or descriptor
