Call for Proposals for Special Sessions

Proposals are solicited for ICONIP-2000 special sessions. ICONIP-2000, the annual conference sponsored by Asia-Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA), will be held in Taejon, Korea, from November 14 through 18, 2000. The conference topics include, but are not limited to:

The ICONIP-2000 special sessions will consist of invited papers and contributed papers. The contributed papers should be submitted directly to and reviewed by the special session committee. All papers accepted will appear in the conference proceedings. There is no limit on the number of participants in a special session. If not fit into a single session, the special session can be splitted into multiple sessions. The duration for a talk at a special session will follow the general regulation for ICONIP-2000 oral presentations (which is to be determined yet). Each proposal for special sessions should include the following information:

  • Title of the special session
  • Special session organizer and affiliation
  • Subject areas to be covered by the special session
  • Potential authors

The proposals should be submitted by May 1, 2000 (note the change) via e-mail to one of the following members of the ICONIP-2000 special session committee. The decisions on the acceptance of the proposals will be notified within 2 weeks of submission.

  • May 1, 2000 (expired): Deadline for proposals
  • June 15, 2000: A list of session participants with their paper titles and abstracts
  • July 1, 2000: Deadline for paper submission to special sessions
  • July 31, 2000: Notification of acceptance
  • August 31, 2000: Camera-ready papers due
  • August 31, 2000: Early registration
  • November 14-18, 2000: ICONIP-2000 conference dates (special sessions)
